The cost of a new furnace varies widely based on considerations like brand, efficiency, and installation requirements. Prices can typically range from $2,500 to $7,500, including installation. High-efficiency models or those with advanced features may be at the higher end of the spectrum. Local labor costs and any additional components or modifications needed for installation can also impact the overall price. It's advisable to obtain quotes from reputable HVAC professionals for accurate, up-to-date pricing.
Although it's not essential, some homeowners decide to update both systems at the same time for convenience. However, one system can be changed, while the other can be replaced later if necessary. Upgrading both at the same time can have benefits such as lowering installation costs and guaranteeing system compatibility. In the end, the choice is based on your unique situation and the state of each unit.
